In the Mediterranean, hundreds of non-indigenous marine species are quietly settling beneath the surface. While most go unnoticed, others, such as the blue crab, are already reshaping our coastal ecosystems. Facing this biological challenge, the cross-border ALIEN-OCCICAT project was launched to build a shared monitoring network between Occitanie and Catalonia. Such an initiative cannot succeed without your help: divers, fishermen, beachgoers, sailors, and snorkellers, help us spot these new arrivals before they establish themselves permanently.
